Hourly Rate
Typically, homecare services are billed on a per-visit basis. The minimum duration for a visit is usually around 30 minutes, but the actual length depends on the level of support required. For example, support with morning routines may need slightly longer than a lighter lunchtime visit.
Fees generally reflect the full service around each visit, including staffing, payroll, mileage, personal protective equipment, assessments, reviews and care management activity.
Shorter visits can sometimes carry a relatively higher cost than longer ones because travel and mileage stay broadly the same regardless of how long the visit lasts.
What this guide means
The price above is intended as a helpful starting point rather than a promise for every care arrangement. The right level of support depends on visit length, timing, frequency and the kind of help that is needed.
We would always rather explain things clearly than leave families trying to work it out alone. If you speak with our team, we can talk through what support may look like in practice and what that is likely to mean in cost terms.
Why clear pricing matters
Choosing care at home is not only an emotional decision. It is also a practical one. Families need enough information to compare options, understand what is included and feel confident about the next step.
- A simple starting point for visiting care costs
- Open conversations about what influences the final fee
- Clearer expectations before support begins
- A practical route into a more tailored proposal
